On Roxi

  • Pimlico, SW1V
  • Boxing, podcasts, surfing
  • Curvy, 168 cm
  • Brown eyes, long black hair

Based in Pimlico, and happy to travel to any hotel in town.

Gloves on at half past six. Roxi starts most days in a boxing gym near Victoria, pads and skipping rope and a trainer who shouts, and by eight she is walking home with a podcast in her ears, grinning. She is playful, confident and vivacious, the sort of company who makes a quiet hotel bar feel like the start of a party without ever being loud about it.

She is 168 cm and curvy, her black hair long, her eyes brown, and her clothes carry a tropical sparkle: bright colour, gold jewellery, an orchid clipped behind one ear on a good day. She is twenty three. Her English is quick and full of recommendations, mostly for podcasts you will actually enjoy, and whenever the forecast looks right she disappears to the coast with a surfboard.

Her ideal evening is across the river from home. A walk over Chelsea Bridge to Battersea Power Station, dinner among the old brick and steel, and a look at the four white chimneys lit up against the sky. Then back to a hotel in Victoria or Belgravia for a late drink. Guests flying out of Gatwick in the morning like her too: the Gatwick Express leaves from Victoria, a few minutes from her door, and she is happy to spend the evening at an airport hotel so nobody has to worry about the early train.

Roxi lives in Pimlico, just south of Belgravia and the Victoria hotels. Late arrivals are her favourite; ask Henrietta for her next free evening.

After dark Roxi

Roxi, after hours

The south end of Chelsea Bridge, just after dark: the chimneys of Battersea Power Station are already lit and the river is running fast. Roxi is waiting by the railings, and she walks quickly and talks quicker, about the wave she caught last month and the one that flattened her, and she asks what you listen to on long flights so she can fix your playlist. Dinner is inside the old power station, brick walls and big windows, and she orders the spiciest thing on the menu to prove a point. Afterwards a cab back across the river to your hotel. In the lift she does an impression of her boxing coach, and it is alarmingly accurate. The night stays playful from there.

FAQ 03

Roxi, answering

3 things guests tend to ask before booking, answered in Roxi's own words.

Most days. Forty minutes of hitting pads and I am the calmest person in London. You would be surprised how friendly it makes me.

Mostly Cornwall, or the Gower when Cornwall is too far. I fall off more often than I stand up, and I love both.

The chimneys. Four of them, lit up, and you can see them from the bridge. It looks like a film set somebody forgot to take down.

Notes on Roxi

No notes on file for Roxi yet, and the desk will never invent one. Guests add a note only once a booking has actually taken place; it shows nothing but their first name and when it was written, and Henrietta reads every one before it is posted.

Should Roxi want a note about her withdrawn, it comes down the same day.
